Job Description

Job Purpose : 
Designing the scoring logic, balancing difficulty, and structuring the economy of mobile/web games. We are looking for a designer (potentially with a game development background) who is deeply focused on Game Design mechanics and can bridge the gap between technical constraints and creative gameplay.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Game Economy & Balancing: Designing and tuning scoring systems, ranking logic, resource management, rewards, progression rates, and controlling resource inflation.
  •  Core Design & Mechanics: Defining core loops, balancing difficulty curves, and overseeing player progression.
  • Documentation: Writing clear, actionable, and technical design documents (GDD) for the engineering team.
  • Iteration & Optimization: Utilizing an analytical approach to design, test, and refine gameplay mechanics based on feedback and data.
  • Level Design: Applying basic level design principles suitable for Hyper-Casual and Hybrid-Casual games.


Experience : 

  • Proven experience in designing game mechanics, specifically in scoring and economy.
  • Crucial: A background in Game Development (Programming) is highly valued, provided the candidate identifies primarily as a Game Designer and intends to focus strictly on the design aspect.
  • Experience with live operations (Live Ops) or working on at least one published title is preferred.
  • Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skill, Ability) : 
  • Spreadsheet Mastery: Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for designing and managing data tables, rewards, and resource balancing.
  • Game Design Principles: Strong understanding of Core Loops, Difficulty Balancing, and Progression Systems.
  • Game Economy: Knowledge of designing resources, sinks, sources, and controlling inflation.
  • Genre Knowledge: Familiarity with Hyper-Casual and Hybrid-Casual genres.


Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with Unity game engine.
  • Understanding of Game Analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail and ability to iterate based on logic and tests.
  • Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with the technical team and translate design concepts into technical requirements.
  • Passion: Serious interest in playing and analyzing mobile games.
  • Focus: A strong desire to concentrate on Game Design and Economy rather than implementation/coding.
