Data Science Manager

As a Data Science Manager, you will define the data strategy for your Tribe and drive high-level vision. You will step beyond day-to-day execution to lead a high-performing team of Senior/Lead Data Scientists, align cross-functional executives, and make critical business decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Vision & Alignment: Define the Tribe’s Data Science roadmap and align Product and Engineering leadership around a unified strategy.
• Impact & Accountability: Take ultimate ownership of the Tribe’s ML and analytics deliverables, ensuring they directly drive core business KPIs (e.g., ROI, conversion).
• High-Stakes Decisions: Leverage deep business intuition and product sense to make rapid, high-impact decisions and navigate extreme ambiguity.
• Leading Senior Talent: Manage, mentor, and scale a team of high-seniority Data Scientists, providing them with unparalleled growth opportunities.
• Crisis Management: Act as a stabilizing force during real-time crises, resolving complex roadblocks and dynamically reallocating resources.
• Infrastructure & Empowerment: Champion state-of-the-art ML infrastructure and MLOps ecosystems, removing bottlenecks so your team can rapidly experiment and deploy.

Core Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science/ML, with 3+ years managing high-seniority technical teams.
• Exceptional executive-level communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
• Extremely strong business acumen and product intuition.
• Solid technical foundation (Python, SQL, ML frameworks) to guide architectural decisions and maintain engineering standards.
• Experience with large-scale ML infrastructure, distributed systems, and modern MLOps frameworks.
