HSE Supervisor

• Create a clear understanding of the Unilever Behavioral‑Based Safety (BBS) Program and support its deployment across the site
• Determine training needs and support the delivery of HSE training programs
• Deploy global/cluster SHE strategies, policies, and standards to achieve sustainable, excellent site‑level performance
• Support the implementation, communication, and enforcement of Unilever Life‑Saving (Life Critical) Rules across the site
• Lead safety risk assessments and implement controls according to the hierarchy of controls
• Monitor legal compliance and ensure alignment with national regulations and Unilever SHE standards

• Develop and deploy internal safety inspection and audit systems
• Ensure workplace hazard assessments are conducted for all job roles
• Deliver internal and external assurance audits and ensure closure of corrective actions
• Plan and execute emergency drills with clear post‑drill action plans
• Ensure the workforce is trained and certified to manage identified hazards
• Facilitate site‑wide implementation of post‑incident learnings
• Implement the full Occupational Health Program in alignment with legal requirements and Unilever standards
• Conduct identification of occupational harmful agents, including chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards
• Lead and coordinate measurement and monitoring of harmful factors (noise, dust, chemical exposure, heat stress, lighting, vibration, ergonomics, etc.)
• Develop and implement control measures to reduce exposure to occupational hazards (engineering controls, administrative controls, PPE)
• Plan, coordinate, and follow up annual periodic health examinations for all employees based on job category and risk profile
• Maintain occupational health records and prepare reports for audits and legal requirements
• Coordinate with medical teams for health surveillance, first‑aid readiness, and emergency medical response
• Ensure safe enzyme‑handling procedures, engineering controls, and ventilation systems are implemented
• Conduct enzyme‑specific exposure risk assessments and monitoring
• Provide enzyme safety training for all relevant personnel
• Monitor dust‑control practices, housekeeping, and allergen‑prevention measures
• Ensure full compliance with local environmental regulations and Unilever sustainability standards
• Monitor and report environmental KPIs (energy, water, emissions, wastewater, waste)
• Implement environmental protection programs: spill control, chemical storage, wastewater compliance, air emissions control
• Support site environmental improvement, biodiversity, and sustainability initiatives
• Implement safe segregation, labeling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and Unilever waste‑management standards
• Track waste streams, documentation, and vendor approvals
• Lead waste‑reduction, recycling, and sustainability programs
• Conduct regular audits of waste contractors to ensure compliance
 
Job Requirement:

• Engineering background
• Occupational health surveillance and periodic medical examinations
• Experience in Safety operations
• Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience
• Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management
• 3-5 years Safety Specialist experience
