We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead commercial growth for our liner shipping services. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of container shipping, freight forwarding, customer relationship management, and market development.
This role requires a proactive professional who can identify business opportunities, manage key accounts, negotiate competitive rates, and strengthen the company’s market position in the shipping and logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing customers, including exporters, importers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate new accounts in target markets.
- Promote liner shipping services, including containerized ocean freight, special equipment, reefer cargo, and value-added logistics solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, freight rates, and customer requirements.
- Negotiate commercial terms, freight rates, service agreements, and long-term contracts.
- Work closely with operations, customer service, documentation, and finance teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, performance analyses, and market intelligence reports.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and coordinate solutions with internal departments.
- Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities.

- Minimum [5–7] years of experience in shipping, liner agency, freight forwarding, or logistics sales.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Strong knowledge of container shipping and international trade procedures.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, freight rates, port operations, and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent command of English .
Preferred Skills
- Existing network in shipping, freight forwarding, import/export, or industrial sectors.
- Experience with reefer, project cargo, special equipment, or high-volume container accounts.
- Ability to analyze market data and prepare commercial reports.
- Strong presentation and client-facing skills.
