Job Description

Mission
·       To provide assurance on IP WAN, Gi, PE and IXP services quality, availability and serving the best experience to consumers  E2E
·       To ensure obtaining the best upstream service from TIC/TCP or other players
·       To map out a technology roadmap for technological evolution and migration in line with global technology trends.
·       To ensure serving the highest quality of service for B2B and consumer customers E2E  in Gi and IXP domain

Roles & Responsibilities
To lead the end-to-end operational management of the IP WAN , Gi, IXP and Enterprise networks, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance in alignment with business requirements and SLAs.
To negotiate SLA terms with 3rd party operation team, and monitor enforcing the terms to ensure a proper service is provided all time
To oversee day-to-day operations of secure gateways, Internet gateways, and WAN infrastructure in an outsourced environment, ensuring adherence to security policies and operational excellence.
To manage incident response, fault and attack handling, escalation, and resolution for enterprise services and WAN infrastructure including B2B, DNS, BGP, PE, caching, and Internet and local connectivity.
To ensure ongoing compliance with LEA and the Cybersecurity requirements, including lawful interception (3G/LTE/5G/GPRS/VoIP/FTTH) and protection against internet threats in coordination with security and regulatory teams.
To coordinate closely with the Enterprise Business support teams to ensure smooth service delivery, performance monitoring, and support for B2B and corporate customers.
To manage lobbying with TIC/TCP and regulatory to get Gi links with best quality for MTNI network
To manage having proper E2E montoring tools in place to monitor all Gi/IXP/DNS/PE nodes performance
To manage SLA calculations for Gi/IXP/DNS/PE nodes manged services 
To manage using AI based tools in Gi/IXP/DNS/PE nodes operation to reduce OPEX
To operationalize strategic plans for enterprise services and secure external connectivity, ensuring compatibility with future technologies and the convergence of fixed/wireless networks.
To manage the operational lifecycle of WAN infrastructure and edge network components ( BGP, DNS, Cache, PE) with focus on proactive monitoring, preventive maintenance, and performance tuning.
To collaborate with enterprise solution teams to support the rollout and maintenance of B2B and B2B2X services, including cost estimation support and operational readiness for enterprise offerings.
To define and optimize operational procedures, workflows, and monitoring tools for secure gateway, enterprise connectivity, and WAN/IXP/PE/DNS platforms, ensuring rapid fault detection and resolution.
To oversee the operation of MTNIrancell Internet Gateway, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance with capacity and security requirements.
To coordinate with vendors to ensure quality of service delivery, adherence to SLAs, and early detection and mitigation of risks that may impact technical or commercial targets.
To drive improvements in operational efficiency through automation, process refinement, and continuous service performance reviews.
To manage OPEX  for the IP WAN/IXP/DNS/PE & Enterprise operations domain, ensuring cost control and investment alignment with business priorities.
To provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to internal teams and vendor partners, enhancing team capability across technical and soft skills dimensions.
To oversee BRAS operations to ensure effective authentication and service control for FTTx users, aligned with charging and policy systems
 
Job Requirements
Education
·        Bachelor degree in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management / Information Technology) or related
Experience
·       Manager track record of 5 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry, experience in IP network planning, optimization and operation.
·       In depth Experience with TCP/IP platforms involving dynamic routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP and their related control protocols. 
·       Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
