
Role Purpose
The Senior Business Development Associate is responsible for driving multiple business development initiatives in parallel across different industries and verticals within the Golrang Ventures portfolio. This role combines data-driven analysis, hands-on execution of online advertising and event activities, and close collaboration with portfolio companies to identify opportunities, test hypotheses, and translate insights into measurable business outcomes.
You will make decisions based on data and numbers, run online advertising campaigns, organize events, and work directly with founders and operating teams across our portfolio.
This role ensures that all brand, campaign, content, and communication activities are aligned with business objectives and deliver a coherent message across all customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Project Leadership
· Lead multiple business development projects simultaneously across different industries and sectors, from initial opportunity assessment through to execution.
· Conduct market, competitor, and opportunity analysis and translate findings into actionable recommendations for the leadership team.
· Build business cases, lightweight financial models, and structured proposals
Online Advertising & Digital Performance
· Plan, execute, and optimize online advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Yektanet Ads, and other relevant platforms.
· Own performance against defined KPIs including CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion funnels, and retention.
· Work hands-on with tracking and analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, attribution platforms) to measure and improve campaign effectiveness.
Marketing Plans & Executions
· Plan, Execute and optimize marketing plans for different startups and projects
· Work effectively with multiple internal and external teams
Event Planning & Execution
· Plan, organize, and run events.
Reporting
· Communicate project progress, insights, and results clearly to senior leadership.
· Deliver consistent, high-quality reporting across multiple parallel workstreams.
· Act as a trusted partner to portfolio companies and internal decision-makers on data, growth, and execution matters.
Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in marketing/business development, growth or strategy roles, with a strong executive/operational background — not purely consulting or theoretical analysis.
· Proven track record of making decisions based on data and numbers, with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
· Hands-on experience with online advertising platforms and digital tracking tools.
· Experience of organizing and executing events (corporate, industry, or community).
· Ability to manage multiple parallel projects across different industries and deliver consistent results under deadlines.
· Strong communication skills across marketing and technical teams and senior managers
Bonus Points
· Previous experience as Marketing Manager or Growth Lead at a startup (strong plus).
· MBA from a reputable institution (domestic or international).
· Familiarity with the Iranian startup ecosystem and the local VC landscape.
· Experience with CRM platforms, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase), or SQL at a query-writing level.
· Have experience in education field.
