We are looking for a Product Manager to own the design and evolution of our investment decision system at the product level.
This is not a backlog management role.
You are expected to define problems, design decision logic, and drive outcomes under uncertainty.
In this role, you should be able to:
- Build reliable decision systems at the intersection of data, user behavior, and financial principles
- Make product decisions based on models, data, and measurable impact not intuition
- Translate financial complexity into simple, scalable product mechanisms
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive Product Strategy and Roadmap for core decision-making components
- Design and evolve product systems such as:
- Portfolio Targeting & Asset Allocation Logic
- Personalized Recommendation Systems
- Risk Profiling & Decision Flows
- Define and optimize non-vanity product metrics, including:
- Distance to Target Portfolio
- Recommendation Adoption Rate
- Decision Quality
- Retention & LTV
- Build and operationalize a robust experimentation framework
- Work closely with Data, Engineering, and Investment teams to implement decision logic
- Analyze user behavior under risk, volatility, and uncertainty, and translate it into product decisions
- Prioritize based on real impact on user behavior and business outcomes
- Eliminate unnecessary complexity and build scalable, reliable systems
- Be accountable for product outcomes, not just team output
Requirements (Non-negotiable):
- Hands-on experience with recommendation systems, personalization, or decision-support products
- Strong understanding of financial concepts:
- Risk, Return, Diversification, Asset Allocation, Portfolio Construction
- Ability to work with data (SQL or equivalent analytical tools)
- Proven experience with A/B testing and experimentation
- Strong ability to operate under ambiguity and multi-variable complexity
- Demonstrated impact on core product KPIs (not just feature delivery)
Strong Plus:
- Experience in fintech, wealth management, or investment products
- Familiarity with behavioral economics and decision biases
- Experience in high-growth, product-led environments
- Experience with subscription-based business models
This Role Is Not for You If:
- You equate Product Management with backlog ownership or delivery
- You rely on intuition instead of data and models
- You lack experience with complex, multi-variable systems
- You prefer execution over ownership and accountability
Why This Role Matters:
At Ecotrust, the product is not just an interface, it is a financial decision system. Every product decision has a direct impact on how users allocate capital and manage risk.
This role sits at the core of that system and is critical to building a product users can rely on for high-stakes financial decisions.
