About the Role
At Miare, we are looking for a Business Insight & Financial Modeling Analyst to support business planning, financial modeling, and operational decision-making across the organization. This role is designed for someone who can connect operational insights to financial outcomes and help teams make better, data-informed business decisions. You will work closely with operational and cross-functional teams to analyze business performance, evaluate trade-offs, build forward-looking financial models, and provide actionable insights that improve profitability and execution quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial and driver-based models for budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business planning.
- Analyze operational and financial performance to identify key business drivers and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate trade-offs between growth, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Support pricing analysis, unit economics evaluation, and profitability analysis across business initiatives.
- Lead forecasting and performance tracking processes, including rolling forecasts and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR).
- Partner with operational teams to validate assumptions, improve data quality, and support business decision-making.
- Continuously improve planning models, reporting structures, and analytical frameworks.

- This role requires a strong combination of financial understanding, analytical depth, and business insight.
- The ideal candidate can work with ambiguity, build structured analyses from incomplete data, and connect operational decisions to financial outcomes.
- You are expected to go beyond reporting, challenge assumptions, and influence business decisions through financial modeling and data-driven analysis.
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in financial planning, business finance, FP&A, or similar analytical roles.
- Proven hands-on experience in building financial models from scratch in real business environments.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and business performance analysis.
- Ability to connect operational metrics and business activities to financial outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including financial modeling and structured analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, ownership, and ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in startup, marketplace, or fast-paced business environments.
- Familiarity with unit economics, pricing strategy, and operational KPIs.
- Experience supporting business decision-making through financial analysis.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus.
