Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the overall business strategy for the vertical, including customer segmentation, value proposition, growth priorities, and long-term vision.
  • Own the vertical’s business performance end-to-end, driving GMV, profitability, order frequency, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify customer needs and market opportunities to create differentiated meal experiences that balance quality, portion size, affordability, and convenience.
  • Act as the General Manager of the vertical, coordinating closely with Commercial, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Data teams to ensure aligned and efficient execution.
  • Launch and scale strategic initiatives including campaigns, pricing and promotion strategies, assortment optimization, and expansion opportunities across customer segments or geographies.
  • Lead effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments, making data-informed decisions with evolving priorities and limited information.
  • Continuously monitor business performance, customer behavior, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify growth levers and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive experimentation, testing, and continuous iteration to optimize both customer experience and business outcomes.
  • Act as the voice of the category internally, ensuring customer and business needs are reflected across initiatives and product developments.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, category management, commercial strategy, growth, or similar business-oriented roles — preferably in tech, e-commerce, FMCG, marketplaces, or food delivery industries.
  • Proven experience in owning and scaling a business line or category in a fast-paced and data-driven environment.
  • Strong business acumen with an ownership mindset; strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong command of Excel, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and navigate complexity with structure and clarity.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Commercial teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to pitch ideas, drive alignment, and challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward action, experimentation, learning, and growth.
