What You'll Own

• End-to-end delivery of your squad's roadmap — planning, execution, and shipping
• Running and owning Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
• Architectural direction and technical standards for your squad
• Scalability and observability of backend systems under your ownership
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they become incidents
• Mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar of the team
• Bridging engineering and product — making sure your squad moves as one unit

Our Stack

Django experience is a plus. Strong engineers ramp up quickly — we care more about your fundamentals and your instincts than your familiarity with our specific tools.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Proven experience leading a team or acting as a tech lead in a product squad
• Strong understanding of scalable system design and distributed systems trade-offs
• Experience owning delivery — not just contributing to it
• Hands-on experience with observability, production monitoring, and incident response
• Strong communication skills — with engineers, PMs, and leadership
• Experience at a company that has gone through significant growth or scaling
