Infrastructure & Network Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Infrastructure & Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure, data center environments, and connectivity services. This role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies, and the ability to maintain the stability and reliability of production services while collaborating effectively with various technical teams.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in mission-critical and fast-paced environments, demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, and contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure through proper documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain data center and office network infrastructure
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate, Cisco Nexus, and other enterprise-grade networking equipment
Design and maintain connectivity between offices and data centers
Deploy, manage, and support Remote Access and Site-to-Site VPN solutions
Manage and optimize routing, switching, and network security infrastructure
Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and redundancy solutions
Collaborate in managing and maintaining VMware ESXi and vCenter virtualization environments
Manage infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, and NTP
Continuously monitor network and infrastructure performance using monitoring and observability tools
Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure growth initiatives
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues in production environments
Implement infrastructure changes following change management best practices while minimizing service impact
Create, maintain, and update technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures
Participate in Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes
Work closely with DevOps, Systems, Security, and Software Development teams to improve service reliability and performance

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in network and infrastructure engineering
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, STP, LACP, and High Availability concepts
Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls
Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and enterprise networking equipment
Experience implementing and managing Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN solutions
Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple network layers and communication protocols
Familiarity with OSPF and BGP routing protocols
Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtualization technologies
Experience working with Linux systems in administration and troubleshooting scenarios
Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, or PRTG
Ability to analyze logs and use tools such as Wireshark for network troubleshooting
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to continuous learning

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Kubernetes and container networking concepts
Experience with HAProxy, Nginx, or other load balancing solutions
Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible
Experience working in data center environments and highly available infrastructure
