Job Description

Tapsell is looking for a skilled Mid-Level Product/Business Data Analyst to join our Product team. In this full-time, on-site role, you will act as a critical bridge between the product, technical, and business teams. You will be responsible for driving data-informed decisions, monitoring system health, and providing deep analytical insights into user behavior and feature performance. The ideal candidate excels in stakeholder management, thrives in cross-functional environments, and has a strong technical foundation to turn complex data into actionable business value.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Stakeholder Management: Act as a strategic partner to business, product, and technical teams. Effectively translate ambiguous business requirements into precise data and analytical deliverables, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration and alignment.

Product & Feature Analytics: Drive product strategy by partnering directly with Product Managers. Evaluate feature performance, conduct deep-dive analyses into user behavior, and provide actionable insights to guide product iterations and roadmaps.

System Health & Proactive Monitoring: Design and maintain robust monitoring frameworks for core operational metrics. Proactively identify anomalies, performance degradation, or data discrepancies, and collaborate with technical teams to triage and resolve issues efficiently.

Agile Analytics, Dashboards & Reporting Architecture: Deliver rapid, high-impact ad-hoc analyses and quick-turn directional insights. Design and deploy lightweight, intuitive dashboards to answer immediate business questions, and collaborate with BI developers to industrialize high-usage reporting pipelines. Architect and manage recurring analytical reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly). Define strict data requirements, validate outputs with key stakeholders, and standardize analytical runbooks to ensure operational consistency.

Data Discovery & Pattern Recognition: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on large, multi-dimensional datasets to uncover actionable trends, detect behavioral anomalies, and identify opportunities for operational excellence.


Requirements:

Education: Degree in Management, MBA, Computer Engineering, or related quantitative fields.

Experience: Proven mid-level experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, or Business Analyst. Previous experience working in the Ad Tech industry or with App Stores is a massive advantage.

Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to frame ambiguous questions and logically structure complex problems.

Technical & Querying Skills: High proficiency in SQL for querying and validating datasets. Strong hands-on knowledge of Python and experience working with Jupyter Notebooks. PySpark is considered a strong plus.

Data Visualization & Tools: Exceptional proficiency in Metabase/superset and Kibana. Experience with Superset, Power BI is considered a strong plus.

Data Management & Statistics: Solid data management skills (including data preparation and data quality management) paired with a strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods.

Soft Skills: High-level stakeholder management skills, excellent intra-team communication, a proactive mindset, and an eagerness to learn and share knowledge with others.
