Job Description

About the role

We are looking for an IT Help Desk specialist who can effectively support users, manage network infrastructure, and maintain IT equipment. This role includes working on both Passive and Active network layers, as well as day-to-day user support.

Responsibilities

Network (Passive)

  • Network cabling (LAN) including Cat6 / Cat6a and fiber optic
  • Rack installation and setup (Rack & Stack)
  • Patch cord termination and labeling
  • Cable management (Cable Management)
  • Install and maintain Passive equipment such as Patch Panel, Keystone, Faceplate
  • Troubleshoot physical network issues (cable disconnection, noise, weak signal)
  • Support new site deployments (Deployment)

Network (Active)

  • Install, configure, and support network devices: Switch, Router, Access Point
  • Familiar with VLAN, DHCP, DNS, and Routing (Static / Basic Dynamic)
  • Network and service monitoring
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues: Latency, Packet Loss, Timeout

Systems and services

  • Support for VoIP and CCTV
  • Collaborate to improve network Performance and Availability

Help Desk and user support

  • Respond to user requests and issues (on-site and remote)
  • Install and set up operating systems: Windows / Linux
  • Install organizational and general software
  • User management in Active Directory
  • Resolve daily user issues (network, printer, email, software)
  • Support end-user devices: Laptop, Desktop, Printer, Scanner

Maintenance and operations

  • Periodic equipment inspections
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
  • Coordinate installation of new equipment
  • Ensure communication stability
  • Document completed actions
  • Prepare periodic reports
  • Follow SLA for response and resolution
  • Collaborate on improving IT processes

Required skills

  • Hands-on familiarity with networking concepts
  • Experience with network equipment (preferably MikroTik / Cisco / UniFi)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills
  • Responsible and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Teamwork and effective communication skills
