A Datacenter supervisor is responsible for maintaining and optimizing enterprise services, platforms, and storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security in alignment with industry best practices.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain and optimize Windows and Linux servers, virtualization clusters, and storage and fabric infrastructure.
- Prepare and deliver unfractured servers according to performance and security best practices.
- Support lifecycle management of infrastructure components, including upgrades, decommissioning, and capacity expansion planning.
- Administer backup services and conduct recovery testing Operations under Defined and validated RTO/RPO objectives.
- Monitor server, fabric and storage performance using Monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Zabbix, Veeam One) and provide capacity planning.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Contribute to automation initiatives using scripting or tooling to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Apply security best practices, including system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and timely patch management across all infrastructure components.
- Execute infrastructure changes in accordance with established change management processes and policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily infrastructure issues and provide escalation support.
- Collaborate with other teams to maintain operational excellence.
- Document configurations, operational procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Familiar with ITSM and Change management systems
- Expertise in server and service administration (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware, etc.), and storage management (SAN/NAS/Fabric)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Zabbix, Veeam ONE)
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions, including testing and validation of disaster recovery scenarios
- Solid understanding of system hardening, patch management, and infrastructure security best practices
- Automation/scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash)
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and capacity planning skills
