As a Senior Developer in our early stages, you are more than just an individual contributor; you
are a key architect of our technical foundation. You will tackle the "hard problems" of
e-commerce—concurrency during flash sales, data integrity across distributed services, and
building a multi-tenant architecture that remains flexible as we pivot and grow.

Key Responsibilities
● Architectural Ownership: Design and implement a resilient backend using Python and
Django, ensuring the system can scale from the first 100 merchants to 100,000.
● Event-Driven Infrastructure: Build out our messaging backbone using Kafka and
Celery to ensure high-performance, asynchronous processing.
● Database Mastery: Design scalable schemas in Postgres and implement efficient
caching strategies with Redis.
● Pragmatic Engineering: Balance the need for "perfect code" with the reality of startup
deadlines, making smart decisions on when to build for scale vs. when to ship fast.
Mentorship & Leadership
● Technical Guidance: Act as a force multiplier by coaching mid-level and junior
developers on design patterns and best practices.
● Code Excellence: Lead the code review process, not just to find bugs, but to share
knowledge and elevate the team's engineering standards.
● Culture Building: Help define our engineering culture—promoting ownership,
transparency, and a "fail-fast, learn-faster" mentality.
Ownership & Problem Solving

behind technical choices.

Requirements
● 5+ years of backend experience (Python/Django preferred).
● Production experience with Kafka, Celery, and Docker.
● Expertise in Postgres (performance tuning and complex migrations).

Nice to Have
● Vibe Coding: Proficiency with AI-augmented development (Cursor, Windsurf, Copilot) to
achieve 10x shipping speeds in writing tests and doing routine tasks
● Elasticsearch for advanced product discovery.
● AI/LLM Familiarity: Experience using AI for automated cataloging or customer support
tools.
● Java: Experience with high-throughput Java/SpringBoot services.
