Role Overview We are looking for a Frontend Tech Lead to lead the technical direction, delivery quality, and engineering standards of frontend capabilities across cross-functional Business Line teams. This role combines hands-on frontend engineering with technical leadership. You will work closely with Product, Backend, QA, DevOps, UX, and Frontend Developers to ensure enterprise ERP capabilities are delivered with consistent architecture, secure user experiences, responsive design, real-time interaction support, and production readiness. You will act as the frontend technical extension of the CTO: translating approved architecture and engineering standards into practical implementation, guiding developers, preventing frontend inconsistency, and ensuring releases are ready for UAT and Production. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of frontend applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend engineering practices.
Define and enforce frontend architecture, module boundaries, shared UI patterns, state-management practices, routing conventions, API integration standards, and component reuse principles.
Establish and evolve a consistent Design System and shared component library using Material UI, Ant Design, or equivalent enterprise UI frameworks.
Ensure responsive and usable experiences across desktop, tablet, mobile, and Progressive Web Applications, including role-based operational and field-use scenarios where required.
Lead the implementation of secure frontend authentication and authorization using Keycloak, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, RBAC, secure route protection, and role-aware UI behavior.
Design reliable real-time frontend experiences using WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, or similar mechanisms for live dashboards, notifications, workflow updates, tracking, task status, and operational monitoring.
Collaborate with Backend, Product, QA, DevOps, and UX teams to define API contracts, workflow behavior, error states, loading states, UI validation, release scope, and technical dependencies.
Establish standards for frontend testing, accessibility, performance, client-side observability, telemetry, error monitoring, and production diagnostics.
Mentor Frontend Developers through technical refinement, code review, pair programming, architecture guidance, and structured feedback.
Own technical release readiness for frontend changes across Development, Test, UAT, Staging, and Production, including quality gates, environment configuration, access requirements, rollout plans, rollback readiness, monitoring, and post-release validation.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate architecture clarification, UI implementation, code review, testing, debugging, documentation, and issue analysis while enforcing human review and quality controls.
Required Skills
6+ years of frontend development experience, including technical leadership responsibility.
Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture, design systems, reusable component patterns, state management, routing, form handling, API integration, and frontend modularity.
Practical experience with Material UI, Ant Design, or similar enterprise component libraries.
Strong experience with responsive design, mobile-first development, tablet/mobile optimization, and PWA concepts including caching, service workers, installability, and poor-network considerations.
Experience with real-time frontend patterns including WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, connection lifecycle handling, reconnection strategies, live data synchronization, and resilient UI updates.
Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, RBAC, Keycloak integration, secure session/token handling, and frontend authorization patterns.
Strong knowledge of OWASP, Secure by Design, Secure Coding, XSS prevention, CSRF considerations, input validation, and secure frontend development practices.
Experience with automated testing, Git, Docker, CI/CD, code review, frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and browser debugging.
Practical experience with frontend observability, including client-side logging, telemetry, error monitoring, performance monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
Ability to translate CTO-approved architecture and technical standards into practical frontend delivery practices across multiple developers and squads.
Strong communication, mentoring, prioritization, and technical decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Skills
Experience with logistics, shipping, finance, billing, pricing, workflow, ERP, or other complex enterprise domains.
Experience with Storybook, component documentation, UI governance, and multi-team Design System adoption.
Experience with OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Grafana, Elastic/OpenSearch, or similar frontend monitoring and observability tooling.
Experience working with backend event-driven systems and designing UI behavior for asynchronous and eventually consistent workflows.
Experience establishing governed AI-assisted frontend engineering practices, including repository instructions, reusable prompts or skills, AI-assisted code review, and quality guardrails.
What We Expect
You remain hands-on while providing clear technical leadership.
You create a consistent, scalable, and secure frontend foundation rather than isolated page-level solutions.
You prevent architectural drift, duplicated UI patterns, inconsistent authentication approaches, and unmanaged frontend technical debt.
You help Product and Engineering teams turn complex business workflows into usable, reliable, and maintainable user experiences.
You provide the CTO with confidence that frontend releases entering UAT and Production are technically ready, secure, observable, validated, and supported by rollback and operational plans.
You turn AI-assisted frontend development into a repeatable, controlled, and quality-focused engineering practice across the Business Line.
