Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior .NET Backend Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development and evolution of a complex enterprise ERP platform.
You will work in a cross-functional Business Line alongside Product, QA, DevOps, Frontend Engineers, and other Backend Developers. The role requires strong backend engineering expertise, the ability to understand complex business processes, and experience designing reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems for enterprise operations.
You will be expected to contribute not only to implementation, but also to technical design, domain modeling, integration design, workflow design, data consistency, observability, system reliability, and engineering quality across the platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using C# and modern .NET.
- Build modular systems using Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, software design patterns, and clear bounded contexts.
- Design REST APIs, asynchronous workflows, integrations, and event-driven services.
- Design and implement configurable workflow and approval processes for complex business operations, including state transitions, task orchestration, SLA handling, escalation, auditability, and exception management.
- Work with PostgreSQL for data modeling, query optimization, transactions, migrations, and performance tuning.
- Implement event-driven patterns such as domain events, integration events, CQRS, event sourcing where appropriate, retries, idempotency, outbox, and eventual consistency.
- Design and implement reliable messaging workflows using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Use Wolverine as the preferred framework for messaging, workflows, and event-driven processing; work with MassTransit where required by the platform or existing services.
- Design and maintain production-grade observability capabilities, including structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, health checks, dashboards, alerting, and telemetry for backend services and event-driven workflows.
- Collaborate with Product and Architecture to turn features and user stories into technical designs.
- Write unit tests and integration tests and contribute to automated quality gates.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, debugging, and production issue analysis.
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers where needed.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong experience with C# and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core.
- Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, SOLID, and modular architecture.
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and the ability to apply them pragmatically in enterprise backend systems, including Factory, Strategy, Adapter, Repository, Specification, Mediator, Observer, CQRS, and Saga / Process Manager patterns.
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including SQL, indexing, transactions, migrations, and query optimization.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers, specifically Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
- Practical understanding of CQRS, event sourcing, idempotency, retries, distributed systems, and eventual consistency.
- Hands-on experience with Wolverine is highly preferred; familiarity with MassTransit is also required or strongly preferred.
- Practical experience designing or integrating workflow engines and business process orchestration solutions, including approval workflows, state machines, long-running processes, task management, escalation, exception handling, and audit trails.
- Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.
- Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Good understanding of Linux and operating-system fundamentals relevant to running, diagnosing, and troubleshooting backend services.
- Practical experience with application logging, monitoring, observability, and telemetry, including structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, health checks, alerting, correlation IDs, and production diagnostics.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in English.
- Practical understanding of OWASP principles and common application security vulnerabilities.
- Experience applying Secure by Design and Secure Coding principles throughout analysis, design, implementation, code review, and deployment.
- Ability to design secure APIs, validate inputs, implement safe error handling, and protect against common security vulnerabilities.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, RBAC, service-to-service authentication, and secure token handling.
- Familiarity with Keycloak for identity and access management, authentication, authorization, and SSO integration.
- Understanding of secrets management, secure configuration, dependency security, auditability, and least-privilege access.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, finance, pricing, billing, or enterprise operational platforms.
- Experience with modular monolith or microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kubernetes, on-premise deployment environments, observability, and OpenTelemetry.
