Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to build, operate, and evolve the shared product platform for a complex enterprise ERP ecosystem.
You will work under the CTO organization and collaborate closely with Backend, Frontend, QA, Tech Leads, Product, and IT Infrastructure teams. The role is responsible for enabling reliable software delivery, secure runtime environments, observability, release readiness, and scalable on-premise platform capabilities.
This is not a traditional IT support role. You will own the product-facing platform layer built on top of the infrastructure provided by IT.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to build, operate, and evolve the shared product platform for a complex enterprise ERP ecosystem.
You will work under the CTO organization and collaborate closely with Backend, Frontend, QA, Tech Leads, Product, and IT Infrastructure teams. The role is responsible for enabling reliable software delivery, secure runtime environments, observability, release readiness, and scalable on-premise platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate on-premise Kubernetes-based application platforms for development, test, UAT, staging, and production environments.
- Standardize Dockerization, deployment templates, Helm charts, environment configuration, secrets, service accounts, and release practices for engineering teams.
- Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows, including automated build, test, security checks, deployment, rollback, and promotion across environments.
- Manage and monitor platform services including Kubernetes, Rancher, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Keycloak, WSO2 API Gateway, and related runtime components.
- Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, telemetry, dashboards, alerting, health checks, capacity monitoring, and incident-response practices.
- Support teams in production readiness, release validation, infrastructure prerequisites, access requirements, configuration management, and post-release verification.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and scripting.
- Apply DevSecOps practices including secrets management, TLS certificates, RBAC, network policies, container security, vulnerability management, backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
- Work with IT Infrastructure teams on compute, storage, network, firewall, virtualization, and IaaS dependencies while retaining ownership of the product platform layer.
- Support developers in troubleshooting deployment, runtime, networking, container, messaging, database, and observability issues.
- Contribute to platform documentation, runbooks, operational standards, and reusable developer self-service capabilities.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux, networking, shell scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Practical experience managing Kubernetes clusters, namespaces, RBAC, ingress, storage, resource limits, autoscaling, network policies, and troubleshooting production workloads.
- Experience with Rancher or similar Kubernetes management platforms.
- Strong experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Helm, deployment automation, environment promotion, rollback strategies, and release management.
- Experience operating Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Keycloak, and API Gateway platforms such as WSO2.
- Practical experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kibana, or similar observability tooling.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, secrets management, TLS, RBAC, IAM, network security, vulnerability management, and least-privilege principles.
- Experience with backup, restore, disaster recovery, high availability, capacity planning, and production incident handling.
- Ability to troubleshoot application-runtime, infrastructure, database, messaging, network, and deployment issues.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with Product, QA, Developers, Tech Leads, CTO, and IT Infrastructure teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in English.
- Experience with on-premise or private-cloud environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise ERP, logistics, finance, workflow-heavy, or integration-heavy platforms.
- Experience with PostgreSQL high availability, replication, backup/restore, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ security, monitoring, topic/queue governance, and operational troubleshooting.
- Experience building Internal Developer Platforms, self-service deployment paths, or engineering Golden Paths.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for infrastructure automation, incident analysis, documentation, and operational troubleshooting.
- You treat DevOps as a product platform capability, not as a ticket-based infrastructure support function.
- You build repeatable, secure, observable, and self-service delivery paths for engineering teams.
- You help ensure that releases entering UAT and Production have the required infrastructure, access, configuration, monitoring, rollback, and operational readiness.
- You provide the CTO with confidence that the platform is reliable, secure, scalable, recoverable, and ready to support product growth.
- You work closely with IT Infrastructure while maintaining clear ownership of the product runtime and delivery platform.
