Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / Quality Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and release readiness of a complex enterprise ERP platform.
You will work in a cross-functional Business Line alongside Product, Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Tech Leads. The role covers requirement analysis, manual testing, API testing, automation design, regression testing, release validation, and continuous quality improvement.
This is not a purely manual testing role. You will be expected to combine strong functional testing skills with practical automation capability and help establish quality practices across the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Review epics, features, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria to identify quality risks, missing scenarios, ambiguities, and test requirements.
- Design and maintain test plans, test cases, regression suites, test data, traceability records, and release checklists.
- Perform functional, exploratory, smoke, sanity, regression, integration, end-to-end, compatibility, negative, boundary, UAT-support, and release validation testing.
- Validate complex workflows, approvals, permissions, audit trails, notifications, exception handling, data consistency, role-based access, APIs, asynchronous processes, event-driven flows, retries, and failure-recovery behavior.
- Build and maintain automated tests using Python-based tools such as pytest, Playwright, requests/httpx, or equivalent frameworks.
- Test React/Next.js applications across desktop, tablet, mobile, PWA, and real-time scenarios such as WebSocket-driven updates, notifications, and live operational dashboards.
- Use Jira-integrated test management and issue-tracking tools to manage test cases, execution cycles, defects, traceability, coverage, release reports, and quality evidence.
- Collaborate with Product, Backend, Frontend, Tech Leads, and DevOps to define quality gates, test environments, release criteria, and production validation steps.
- Participate in release-readiness reviews for Test, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.
- Report defects clearly, verify fixes, support root-cause analysis, and identify recurring quality issues.
- Use AI-assisted testing tools to improve test design, test case generation, test data preparation, automation development, defect analysis, log analysis, documentation, and coverage assessment—while maintaining human validation and quality accountability.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or quality engineering.
- Strong experience in manual functional testing, exploratory testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, regression testing, integration testing, and API testing.
- Experience reviewing requirements and converting business workflows into test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and risk-based test coverage.
- Practical automation testing experience using Python and frameworks such as pytest and Playwright.
- Practical experience with REST API testing and validation.
- Experience with Jira and test-management platforms such as Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, qTest, Azure Test Plans, or similar tools.
- Ability to manage test cases, test execution, defect lifecycle, requirement traceability, test coverage, release reports, and quality evidence through integrated test-management workflows.
- Experience testing enterprise applications, dashboards, admin panels, workflow-heavy systems, or ERP-like platforms.
- Good understanding of frontend, backend, integration, database, and event-driven testing concepts.
- Experience testing authentication, authorization, RBAC, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Keycloak-based SSO, and permission-related scenarios.
- Understanding of OWASP-related test scenarios, secure behavior validation, input validation, session handling, and common application security risks.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, test reporting, defect tracking, and production troubleshooting.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted testing tools responsibly, including validating AI-generated test artifacts, scripts, defect reports, and analysis outputs before using them in delivery or release decisions.
- Ability to analyze logs, API responses, browser/network behavior, and production issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Experience with logistics, shipping, finance, billing, pricing, workflow, ERP, or other complex enterprise domains.
- Experience testing Kafka or RabbitMQ-based event flows, asynchronous processing, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
- Experience with contract testing, integration testing, test data management, and database validation.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as Locust or k6.
- Experience with observability tools, structured logs, monitoring dashboards, tracing, and production diagnostics.
- Experience integrating automated test execution and reporting into CI/CD pipelines.
- You understand the business workflow before testing the feature.
- You do not treat QA as only executing prewritten test cases.
- You identify risks, edge cases, missing requirements, and quality gaps early.
- You balance manual testing depth with practical automation coverage.
- You maintain clear traceability between requirements, test cases, executions, defects, and release decisions.
- You help ensure releases entering UAT and Production are validated, traceable, and supported by clear quality evidence.
- You use AI-assisted testing to improve speed, coverage, and quality while keeping final quality decisions and release evidence accountable to the QA function.
- You work as a quality partner for Product and Engineering, not as a final gate at the end of development.
