Job Description

We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Commercial team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned Beauty, Personal Care, and Home Care categories, supporting other teams to achieve unit objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow the assigned Beauty, Personal Care, and Home Care categories to achieve sales growth and business objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term commercial relationships with suppliers and brand owners.
  • Lead comprehensive commercial negotiations, including pricing, promotional structures, trade agreements, and contract renewals.
  • Develop and execute tailored category growth strategies based on market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior analysis.
  • Oversee product assortment optimization, manage new product launches, and conduct regular SKU rationalization.
  • Design and implement competitive pricing and promotional strategies to maximize sales revenue and gross margins.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, including Sales, Gross Margin, Service Level, and Inventory Turnover.
  • Collaborate with the Supply team to monitor inventory levels, ensure optimum product availability, and implement corrective actions for slow-moving stock.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Data, and Operations teams to execute commercial and operational initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in FMCG, Category Management, or Commercial roles, including at least 3 years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in e-commerce and proficiency in SAP are considered strong advantages.
  • Proven experience in DPH (Detergents, Personal Care & Health) categories will be considered a significant advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Direct experience and deep market knowledge within the Home Hygiene and Health & Beauty sectors.
  • Proven track record of strong negotiation, supplier management, and strategic partnership development skills.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with a problem-solving mindset and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and professional presentations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
