Job Description

About the Role

The Category Senior Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and managing key Quick Commerce business lines, including chain stores, fruit and protein, bakery, nuts and dried fruits, and confectionery within Digikala’s on-demand online ordering service. The main purpose of this role is to drive sustainable business growth, increase revenue, improve operational performance, expand the vendor network, and create a strong experience for both customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue targets across assigned business lines, including commission-based revenue, vendor-generated revenue from the on-demand online sales service, and other operational and non-operational revenue streams relevant to each business line.
  • Define and execute growth strategies for expanding the vendor base and onboarding new sellers.
  • Manage online sales performance and improve key operational metrics such as NFC, cancellation rate, return rate, vendor satisfaction, and conversion rate.
  • Improve the service quality of managed vendors by monitoring inventory, availability, assortment depth, and product variety.
  • Define and implement sales strategies that support business growth and improve overall sales performance.
  • Maintain strong vendor satisfaction through continuous communication, effective negotiation, issue resolution, and long-term relationship management.
  • Analyze business data to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, operational issues, and corrective actions.
  • Support vendor business development by helping vendors increase sales, expand assortment, improve operational quality, and enhance profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Operations, Data, Finance, and other key stakeholders to ensure aligned execution.
  • Lead, develop, and empower a team of approximately 15 to 20 people while building a performance-driven culture.
  • Drive cross-functional projects and ensure timely execution of business development initiatives.
  • Continuously improve processes and increase operational efficiency across the assigned business lines.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of online FMCG businesses, with relevant experience in e-commerce or Quick Commerce.
  • Experience managing large and cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of commercial, sales, and financial concepts.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret business insights, and make data-driven decisions.
