Purpose Statement:
Responsible for recording, reporting, and analyzing manufacturing costs, internal and external CAPEX spend, compliance with internal stock purchasing and holding policies, and working capital management.
Key Accountabilities:
Operational/Professional/Business
· Monthly actual vs. forecast report for overheads with commentary for major variances vs. forecast.
· Follow up on variances with stakeholders to ensure all overheads being incurred are captured and budgeted.
· Ensure P2P process discipline to maintain visibility on committed spend to avoid unexpected costs at year-end.
· Ensure inventory and waste process discipline is in place and compliant with policies.
· Prepare reports relating to Production OHs and compile offline reports and commentaries.
· Prepare monthly report of per mille variable cost and follow up/investigate changes against actuals.
· Ensure compliance with local policies around CAPEX and monitor actual spend vs. budget.
· Review the monthly CAPEX file for Ops prepared by corporate finance and track vs. forecast.
· Highlight any potential CAPEX overspend immediately using the functional budget card.
· Report the budgeted CAPEX numbers at each reporting period after aligning with Operations team for CAPEX requirements.
· Ensure accurate and high-quality submission of all periodic reporting requirements to FLT within the given deadline.
EHS (General Key Factors):
· Ensure full compliance with BVT EHS Policy and legislation, and utilize international best practices to meet EHS objectives and targets.
· Target and drive LTIR (Lost Time Incident Rate) and environmental incidents to zero.
· Have sufficient information on EHS matters and risk assessment to manage EHS issues of self and team effectively.
· Minimize the exposure of all people on company premises to the risk of injury.
· Provide positive contribution to EHS by regular and timely reporting of EHS-related matters.
· Encourage involvement of the team in continual improvement in all areas of EHS.
Leadership:
· Ensure an appropriate level of knowledge of Operations issues to add value in supporting customer department needs.
· Ensure an appropriate level of knowledge of the BVT Operations Finance toolkit (Green Book) and best practices by following changes in the Ops Fin interact database.
· Knowledge sharing through weekly team meetings.
Management:
· Follow up and review budget implementation of all major projects in Operations and Supply Chain.
· Analyze key financial information and flag any inconsistencies to the Operations Finance Manager.
Relationship:
· Promote and maintain good relationships with peers within and between departments through active involvement in cross-functional activities and projects.
· Support the internal and external audit teams on items pertaining to factory finance.
· Work closely with the SC department to achieve major improvements in their working process (Duration and MRP).
Innovation:
· Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, other savings, and optimize assets to the Operations Finance Manager.
