Join our International Legal Department and work on cross-border legal matters involving investment funds, corporate governance, capital markets, and sanctions compliance.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, responsible Junior Legal Associate to support the Head of the International Legal Department in day-to-day legal, regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance matters.
This position is ideal for individuals at an early stage of their legal career who are eager to gain practical experience and have the ability to follow up on matters, manage legal documentation, and prepare draft legal documents.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, review, filing, and organization of contracts, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Prepare first drafts of board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and other corporate governance documents based on existing templates and instructions.
Support sanctions compliance processes by collecting information, conducting preliminary screening of individuals and entities, preparing initial summaries, and following up on required documentation.
Assist with comparative legal research on cross-border matters, including investment fund structures, regulatory requirements, and corporate structures, as instructed.
Prepare concise legal memoranda, reports, and supporting documentation for internal review.
Draft, translate, and localize legal and business documents in both English and Persian.
Manage document workflows, maintain filing systems and tracking sheets, monitor deadlines, and follow up with relevant authorities, service providers, and internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with correspondence involving regulatory authorities, government agencies, fund administrators, auditors, external legal counsel, and other relevant organizations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
Good written and spoken English.
At least one year of work experience or practical exposure to capital markets, corporate law, or regulatory matters.
Strong legal drafting, research, and document management skills.
Excellent attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work under supervision.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow up proactively.
Well-organized, responsive, collaborative, and interested in legal support and administrative legal work.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Iran's Securities Market Act and the regulations of the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO).
Exposure to Compliance, sanctions, KYC/AML, or regulatory audit processes.
Experience preparing corporate governance documents, including board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, and powers of attorney.
Interest in international legal work, investment funds, and cross-border regulatory matters.
