About the Role
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. You will play a key role in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, cost optimization, contract administration, and procurement process improvement while supporting the company's operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing to purchase order issuance and delivery follow-up.
- Conduct market research to identify qualified suppliers and evaluate market trends, pricing, and sourcing opportunities.
- Manage RFQ/RFP processes by preparing documents and recommending suppliers based on cost, quality, service level, and business requirements.
- Source, evaluate, onboard, and develop suppliers while maintaining a reliable and competitive vendor base.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and commercial agreements to maximize value and achieve cost savings.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, legal requirements, and internal controls.
- Prepare, review, and manage procurement contracts and supplier agreements in coordination with Finance and other relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Quality, Lead Time, Responsiveness, and Service Level, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and purchasing best practices.
- Good understanding of procurement compliance, commercial terms, and risk management.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement planning tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and procurement KPI reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and Power Query are an advantage).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the FMCG, Food Production, Restaurant, Retail, or Logistics industry.
- Knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Experience working with supplier performance scorecards and procurement dashboards.
- Familiarity with CAPEX and OPEX procurement processes.
