The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure by monitoring system performance, resolving incidents, ensuring service reliability, and implementing operational improvements. This role requires strong expertise in systems administration, networking, virtualization, security practices, and proactive problem-solving in a high-availability environment.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor network and system performance using specialized monitoring tools to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and respond to incidents in real time to minimize service disruptions and downtime.
• Identify potential issues proactively before they escalate into critical incidents.
• Diagnose and resolve network, hardware, and software issues promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps, solutions, and system configurations for future reference.
• Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth operation and support continuity.
• Communicate incident statuses, resolutions, and performance reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Generate and analyze regular reports on system performance, incidents, and downtime for management review.
• Ensure incident logs, reports, and documentation are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with company policies.
• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations and provide on-call support for emergency incidents.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring systems, alert mechanisms, and performance dashboards.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar technical role.
• Experience managing large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure in 24/7 operational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage incident response, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in configuring, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK Stack.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, NetFlow, NTP, VPN, and Syslog.
• Expertise in Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, especially VMware vSphere and ESXi, including VM provisioning, clustering, resource allocation, snapshots, and high availability configurations.
• Knowledge of operating system hardening and security best practices for Windows and Linux environments, including access control, service minimization, patch management, secure configurations, log auditing, and compliance with security baselines.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments, including deployment, maintenance, and basic container orchestration concepts.
• Ability to build, customize, and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting rules, service checks, and performance/capacity reports.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving system, application, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for system administration tasks, such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning and administration for servers, virtual machines, and critical services.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and identity/access management in enterprise environments.
• Understanding of storage technologies and concepts, including RAID, SAN, NAS, iSCSI, and storage performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of firewall concepts, endpoint/server security controls, vulnerability remediation, and general infrastructure security practices.
• Ability to document system architecture, operational procedures, incident resolutions, and change management activities.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and providing clear updates to stakeholders.
