We are seeking to hire a Senior Network Security Specialist with a focus on Juniper security solutions; an individual who, in addition to having hands-on expertise in network security equipment and services, is capable of analyzing the security posture of infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities, conducting security assessments, performing penetration testing within the organization’s approved frameworks, analyzing incidents, and proposing effective corrective actions.
The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining the stability, integrity, resilience, and effectiveness of the organization’s security controls and will work closely with the network, infrastructure, security, operations, and management teams.
This position requires an individual who can operate effectively in a dynamic, complex, and rapidly changing environment, while understanding operational requirements, managing security risks, and taking an active role in the continuous improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Network Security Leadership and Operations
- Implementing, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting network security solutions with a focus on Juniper Security Solutions
- Managing and supporting edge and internal firewalls, SSL VPN, IPsec VPN, PAM, Admin Auditing, and other related security controls
- Designing, implementing, and managing DMZ environments to protect the internal network against untrusted traffic
- Configuring security controls in an integrated and harmonized manner to prevent rule conflicts and contradictory security policies
- Performing hardening activities for security devices, systems, and related services
Security Policy and Control Management
- Designing, reviewing, and optimizing Security Policy, Security Zones, Access Control, ACL, NAT, and security configurations
- Periodically reviewing access rights, removing unnecessary access, and ensuring complete documentation of access levels and control rules
- Supporting physical port security (802.1X / dot1x) and managing user identity and authorization for network access
- Providing secure connectivity solutions for customers or external stakeholders connecting to the organization’s network, while considering associated security risks
Security Assessment and Technical Testing
- Conducting periodic security assessments on the organization’s infrastructure, services, equipment, and access points
- Performing Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing in accordance with the organization’s policies, approvals, and requirements
- Identifying configuration weaknesses, insecure access, high-risk rules, and vulnerable points within the security architecture
- Analyzing assessment and test results and developing risk-prioritized remediation plans
Monitoring, Analysis, and Incident Response
- Analyzing logs, security events, and network traffic to identify threats, anomalies, and root causes of issues
- Ensuring the complete forwarding and integration of logs into SIEM platforms to support real-time security monitoring
- Monitoring and analyzing IDS / IPS / Syslog data and other security sources
- Working closely with the SOC team and the incident response team during analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery phases
- Actively participating in the handling of security incidents and recommending preventive actions to avoid recurrence
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Security Improvement
- Collaborating effectively with network, infrastructure, security, IP planning, development, and operations teams to identify security gaps and strengthen controls
- Providing expert recommendations to improve network security architecture, enhance infrastructure resilience, and elevate operational security
- Supporting the development and implementation of required security and operational tools
- Conducting regular DR drills and evaluating disaster recovery readiness from security and backup perspectives
- Performing daily health checks of security solutions and providing accurate reports on current risks and critical vulnerabilities
- Handling requests, events, and security issues in accordance with defined SLA / OLA
Professional / Technical Qualifications
- Hands-on proficiency in Junos OS
- Direct experience working with Juniper security solutions, particularly in firewall and traffic control roles
- Strong knowledge and implementation capability in Security Policy, Security Zones, NAT, and IPsec VPN
- Deep understanding of network security, access control, network segmentation, and risk management
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and Traffic Analysis
- Practical experience in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing
- Ability to work with common security assessment, network analysis, and incident monitoring tools
- Ability to analyze logs, identify threats, and troubleshoot security issues
- Familiarity with hardening principles, vulnerability management, and secure configuration improvement
- Familiarity with IDS/IPS, DLP, PAM, Authentication Systems, and Information Security Management System
- Ability to prepare analytical, technical, and management reports
General Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in network security
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with Juniper security solutions
- Proven experience in implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and assessing network security controls
- Experience in medium or large organizations and dynamic operational environments is an advantage
- Ability to produce professional documentation and prepare technical and management reports
- Good command of English for reading technical documentation and professional communication
