At Azki, we're looking for a Security Team Lead to lead our cybersecurity strategy and strengthen the security posture of our infrastructure, platforms, and engineering practices. In this role, you'll drive security initiatives across the organization, champion Security by Design, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, resilient, and scalable systems.
Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's security strategy, roadmap, and policies.
• Define and maintain security standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks while aligning security initiatives with business objectives.
• Lead vulnerability management, remediation planning, and incident response activities.
• Oversee security monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and post-incident reviews.
• Define security requirements for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and modern platforms.
• Drive infrastructure hardening initiatives and security automation.
• Partner with Engineering and DevOps teams to implement and mature DevSecOps practices.
• Ensure secure architecture, platform resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness.
• Support security compliance initiatives, audits, and risk management activities.
• Track security KPIs, maintain risk registers, and report security posture to leadership.
• Act as the primary security advisor for engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Foster a security-first culture through collaboration, awareness, and mentorship.
• Mentor security engineers and manage relationships with external security vendors and partners.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Network Security, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, and Application Security.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response.
• Experience securing cloud-native environments and Kubernetes platforms.
• Solid knowledge of DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
• Experience performing security risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate technical security risks into business impact and actionable recommendations.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience leading or mentoring security teams.
• Experience with infrastructure hardening and security automation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience implementing Zero Trust architecture or Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Familiarity with container security and runtime protection technologies.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting compliance initiatives in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
