We are looking for a Product Development Specialist who understands the world of commodity markets and market analysis and is passionate about turning real user needs into impactful digital products.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct user research and needs assessments with commodity market professionals to identify user problems, needs, and opportunities for product development.
- Translate user needs and business objectives into PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable documentation for technical teams.
- Manage and continuously update the product backlog, prioritizing new developments, product improvements, and bug fixes in collaboration with the Product Manager.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Market Analysis, and QA teams throughout the product development lifecycle and help remove execution blockers.
- Conduct functional and acceptance testing before product releases to ensure features meet requirements and align with MarketMate’s analytical logic.
- Collect and analyze user feedback and behavioral data to identify usability issues and recommend product improvements.
- Document product processes, decisions, requirements, and changes.
- Prepare periodic reports on development progress, feature performance, and user insights.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to improve the speed, quality, and efficiency of product development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in market analysis, market intelligence, trading, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of commodity market dynamics; experience in steel or related commodities is a strong advantage.
- Experience translating business or user needs into clear product requirements.
- Familiarity with PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, product backlogs, and UAT.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Interest in using AI tools to enhance productivity, research, analysis, and product development.
