Develop and execute the company’s export strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize international market opportunities and target countries.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and business intelligence activities to support strategic decision-making.
Establish and develop relationships with international distributors, agents, partners, and key customers.
Lead commercial negotiations and manage international contracts and partnership agreements.
Identify and pursue opportunities through international tenders, government procurement projects, and strategic partnerships.
Oversee product registration processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in target markets through local partners.
Manage all export-related operations, including pricing, documentation, logistics, customs clearance, and international shipping.
Ensure the accuracy and compliance of export documentation, including Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Letters of Credit (LC), and other related documents.
Monitor international trade regulations, import and export requirements, and market-specific compliance standards.
Assess and mitigate export-related risks, including commercial, regulatory, logistical, and currency risks.
Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure successful execution of export plans.
Represent the company at international exhibitions, conferences, trade missions, and industry events.
Prepare regular management reports on export performance, profitability, market developments, and growth opportunities.
Build, develop, and lead the future Export Department, including designing processes, structures, and team capabilities.
Prepare export business plans, budgets, sales forecasts, and operational plans.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Engineering, Economics, MBA, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in export, international business development, or international sales.
At least 3 years of leadership or managerial experience in export-related functions.
Experience within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, healthcare, or regulated industries is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, customs procedures, logistics, and export documentation.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical product registration and regulatory requirements in international markets.
Proven experience in developing new export markets and international distribution networks.
Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting and analytical tools.
Experience working with MENA, CIS, African, or emerging international markets is preferred.
Experience participating in pharmaceutical tenders and international procurement projects is preferred.
Experience establishing or scaling export operations within a growing organization is preferred.
Knowledge of additional languages, such as Arabic, French, or Russian, is an advantage.
