Senior Product Manager

Responsibilities:

• Provide vision, direction, and product strategy to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the development life cycle.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of products and present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value aligned with overall company strategies; define customer needs and the associated features and solutions to meet those needs.
• Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and user experience to ensure the right customer problem is solved.
• Ability to divide large projects into iterative releases.
• Understand technical requirements for the completion of new initiatives and ensure their success.
• Facilitate communication across internal teams and explain the value of new initiatives.
• Identify and resolve inefficiencies in PM tools, processes, and workflows.
• Have end-to-end ownership and sign-off on behalf of the business, as needed.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders, including customer feedback, sales teams, and marketing teams, to define and prioritize product features and improvements.
• Understand user needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape related to user experiences in the education industry.

Job Requirements:

• MA/BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Management.
• 4+ years of experience, preferably in business applications development or product management for internal/external products.
• Familiarity with user experience design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers to create delightful user interfaces.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven success in delivering complex technology products/services in a high-growth environment.
• Experience delivering products that incorporate advanced analytical techniques, data-driven decision processes, and applied statistical methods.
• Experience leading product development from start to finish, including customer-facing products, with the ability to drive prioritization consensus across business units and serve as an effective liaison between customers and engineering.
• Demonstrated solid judgment and effective communication skills; ability to see the big picture while navigating technology and development decisions and tradeoffs.
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

Nice to Have:

• Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development.
