Senior PHP Developer (Wallgold)

Wallgold is building a secure and reliable platform for online gold trading, focused on delivering a seamless financial experience through scalable technology and high-performance infrastructure.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced PHP Developer to play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling the core backend systems powering our platform. You will contribute to building secure, reliable, and high-performance services that support financial transactions, user wallets, and real-time trading operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel).
• Optimize system performance for large-scale financial transactions.
• Design and implement secure and scalable RESTful APIs following industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Design, manage, and optimize relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Implement and monitor logging, caching, and error-tracking systems (Elastic, Redis, Sentry, Prometheus, etc.).
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, promote clean-code principles, and mentor junior developers.
• Ensure data protection, secure communication, and reliability across all financial operations.
• Contribute to improving backend architecture, scalability, and development processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, preferably in fintech or payment systems.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience working with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of security practices including JWT, OAuth2, SSL, encryption, and data protection.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in collaborative and agile development environments.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
