Python Backend Developer (WallGold)

WallGold is building a secure and reliable platform for online gold trading, focused on delivering a seamless financial experience through scalable technology and high-performance infrastructure.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Python Backend Developer to play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling the core backend systems powering our platform. You will contribute to building secure, reliable, and high-performance services that support financial transactions, user wallets, market data, and real-time trading operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python with Django or Flask.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for financial and trading applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs following industry best practices.
• Optimize application performance for high-throughput financial transactions.
• Collaborate closely with Frontend, DevOps, Product, and QA teams to deliver reliable features.
• Design, manage, and optimize relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Work with caching, messaging, and asynchronous processing technologies such as Redis, Celery, and message brokers.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability solutions using tools such as Elastic Stack, Sentry, and Prometheus.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards and backend architecture.
• Ensure system security, data integrity, and reliability across all financial operations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Redis, background jobs, and asynchronous task processing (Celery is a plus).
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of backend security practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, JWT, OAuth2, SSL/TLS, and secure API design.
• Familiarity with financial systems, trading concepts, order management, or fintech products is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and teamwork.

Nice to Have

• Experience with FastAPI.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
• Experience building high-availability or low-latency systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes.
• Experience in fintech, payment systems, digital assets, or trading platforms.
