The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier identification and technical/commercial evaluation through negotiation, contracting, manufacturing follow-up, inspection, logistics, customs clearance, and final delivery to site. The role requires strong commercial judgment, technical understanding, negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies for industrial and mining projects
Manage the procurement of industrial equipment, machinery, spare parts, materials, and specialized project requirements
Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop local and international suppliers
Obtain and evaluate technical and commercial quotations and prepare bid comparisons
Lead commercial negotiations and secure competitive pricing and favorable payment, warranty, and delivery terms
Manage purchase orders, procurement contracts, and supplier commitments
Monitor manufacturing progress and ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials
Coordinate closely with Engineering and Project teams to ensure technical compliance of purchased equipment
Manage domestic and international transportation, logistics, and customs clearance
Identify procurement and supply-chain risks and develop alternative sourcing solutions
Monitor procurement costs against project budgets
Build and maintain a qualified supplier database
Evaluate supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and reliability
Lead and develop the procurement team
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial position
Proven experience in procurement and supply of equipment for industrial, mining, EPC, or heavy-industry projects
Strong knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain processes
Excellent commercial negotiation and contract management skills
Strong English communication skills, including commercial correspondence and negotiations
Ability to analyze commercial offers and evaluate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with procurement management tools
Ability to manage multiple projects, suppliers, and purchase orders simultaneously
Strong follow-up, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills
Ability to lead and manage a procurement team

Mining and mineral processing projects
Copper, steel, cement, or other heavy industries
EPC / EPCM projects
Procurement of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment
Procurement of second-hand and refurbished industrial equipment
Direct sourcing from manufacturers and suppliers in China, Turkey, UAE, and other international markets
International logistics, import, and customs clearance
International payment terms and cross-border commercial transactions
