We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design and build reliable, scalable, and high-performance backend services. Our platform is based on .NET microservices and handles production workloads at scale. This role requires strong hands-on engineering skills, production ownership, and close collaboration with other engineering teams. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using .NET and ASP.NET Core
Contribute to backend architecture, service boundaries, APIs, and technical design decisions
Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code
Review code and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access patterns
Build reliable synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST, gRPC, and messaging
Improve service performance, scalability, reliability, security, and fault tolerance
Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis
Work closely with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver features
Identify and reduce technical debt and improve engineering practices
Maintain technical documentation and operational knowledge
Required Qualifications
Strong professional experience in backend software development
Excellent knowledge of C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core
Strong experience designing and operating microservices in production
Strong experience with SQL Server, data modeling, query optimization, and Entity Framework Core
Experience with RabbitMQ or similar message brokers and event-driven architectures
Good understanding of messaging patterns such as idempotency, retries, outbox, and dead-letter handling
Strong experience with REST APIs and gRPC-based service communication
Strong understanding of distributed systems and software architecture principles
Experience with automated testing and modern CI/CD development workflows
Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes environments, and production deployments
Experience with caching and distributed caching technologies such as Redis
Experience with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and production observability
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions balancing performance, maintainability, and delivery
