We are looking for a detail-oriented and research-driven Government Grants & Funding Specialist to identify, evaluate, and manage government funding opportunities for our companies and projects.
This is a remote position and requires strong independent work, research, communication, and time-management skills.
The ideal candidate should be able to research available grants, subsidies, tax credits, loans, incentives, and other government funding programs, primarily across Canada and Québec, and manage the process from initial opportunity identification through application, submission, follow-up, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Research and continuously monitor government funding programs, grants, subsidies, tax credits, loans, and incentive programs.
Identify funding opportunities relevant to the company’s activities, projects, and business objectives.
Review and analyze eligibility requirements, program criteria, deadlines, funding amounts, eligible expenses, and required documentation.
Assess whether the company or specific projects qualify for each funding opportunity.
Prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit, funding potential, deadline, and likelihood of success.
Coordinate with internal departments to collect financial, operational, technical, and project-related information required for applications.
Prepare and organize application documents, supporting materials, proposals, and funding packages.
Assist with the preparation of budgets, project descriptions, business cases, and funding proposals.
Manage application timelines and ensure submissions are completed accurately and before deadlines.
Track submitted applications and follow up with government agencies or funding organizations when required.
Maintain a structured database of funding opportunities, applications, deadlines, required documents, and results.
Create checklists and internal workflows for each funding application.
Support post-approval requirements, including documentation, compliance, progress reporting, and funding reports.
Verify information generated through AI-assisted research and monitoring systems before it is used for decision-making or applications.
Work with AI and technology teams to improve automated systems for identifying and evaluating funding opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with government grants, funding programs, incentives, or grant applications
Familiarity with Canadian and Québec government funding programs
Experience in grant writing, proposal development, business development, consulting, or financial research
Knowledge of AI-based research and automation tools is considered an advantage
Knowledge of French is considered a strong asset, particularly for Québec funding programs
