Senior Risk & Internal Audit Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to understand business, financial, and operational processes.
• Plan and perform audit procedures and gather evidence through interviews, document reviews, process observations, and data analysis.
• Identify control weaknesses, financial reporting errors, potential fraud indicators, and operational risks.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management and internal control processes.
• Evaluate compliance with internal policies, laws, and regulations.
• Prepare audit reports, highlighting findings, risks, root causes, and recommendations for improvement.
• Discuss audit findings and recommendations with relevant stakeholders and follow up on agreed action plans.
• Manage multiple audit assignments and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, controlling, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, internal controls, and compliance principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI or other data analysis tools is a plus.
• Previous experience in reputable or Grade-A audit firms in Iran is a plus.
• Professional certifications in auditing, accounting, or risk management are a plus.
• For male candidates, completion of military service or permanent exemption is required.
