SnappMarket is seeking an inquisitive, detail-oriented BI Developer (Junior / Mid-Level) to join our central Growth Team. In this role, you will build and maintain the analytical backbone that powers growth-driven decision-making across all 5 of our core business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Maintenance & Performance Tuning: Maintain and optimize our Microsoft SQL Server environment, ensuring high availability, optimal partition strategies, efficient data type allocations, and routine index management (rebuilding/reorganizing).
• AI-Ready Schema & Metadata Design: Build, refactor, and rigorously document Star Schemas, data dictionaries, and metric definitions to ensure they are standardized and fully discoverable for both human stakeholders and downstream autonomous AI analysis agents.
• SSAS Tabular Modeling & Modernization: Design, develop, and tune SSAS tabular models. Lead the migration of legacy models to modern versions by refactoring DAX logic, enforcing unified naming conventions, and aligning models with upstream ETL processes.
• ETL Ingestion & Pipeline Refactoring: Ingest and harmonize data across diverse sources—including our Enterprise Data Warehouse, Click House, Google APIs, SharePoint, and automated web crawlers. Refactor legacy Python and SSIS scripts for modularity, clean naming standards, and robust error handling.
• DAX & Query Optimization: Write clean, performant DAX measures and calculation logic. Profile execution plans and optimize slow-running queries to maintain low dashboard latency.
• Power BI Dashboarding: Design clean, intuitive, and visually compelling dashboards tailored for cross-functional business stakeholders across Growth, Marketing, Commercial, and Operations.

Key Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience: 1+ years of practical experience in business intelligence, data modeling, or analytics engineering.
• Microsoft BI Stack: Solid working proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, SSAS Tabular Models, and SSIS.
• Dimensional Modeling: Solid grasp of Star Schema architecture, normalization vs. denormalization tradeoffs, and clean relational design.
• DAX & Power BI: Strong capability in authoring and optimizing DAX measures, data relationships, and dashboard UX in Power BI.
• SQL & Performance Engineering: Proficient in T-SQL, query performance tuning, index maintenance, and database structure design.
• Python for ETL: Working knowledge of Python for scripting, basic pipeline automation, and external data extraction/crawling.
• Documentation Discipline: Strong discipline in maintaining explicit data catalogs, metadata dictionaries, and structured business logic definitions.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative discipline.
