We are looking for a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to join our Database team and help build and operate reliable, scalable, and well-automated database infrastructure.
In this role, you will work across database operations, Linux systems, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure automation. You will support both the databases behind our production services and the database infrastructure used by our Data and Data Product teams.
Our current database stack includes MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ClickHouse.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain production database environments.
- Troubleshoot database, Linux, replication, performance, and infrastructure issues and drive incidents toward root cause and resolution.
- Maintain and improve replication, clustering, high availability, backup/restore, and PITR capabilities.
- Automate database operations, configuration management, and provisioning using Ansible, Terraform, Git, and scripting.
- Support database upgrades, maintenance, performance analysis, and capacity planning.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support databases behind production services and help resolve application/database reliability and performance issues.
- Collaborate with Data and Data Product teams to provide reliable database infrastructure for data engineering workloads and data-driven products.
- Continuously improve monitoring, operational processes, and automation to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience working with Linux-based production systems and databases.
- Practical knowledge of at least one major database system, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Good understanding of database fundamentals, including transactions, indexing, locking, query performance, replication, and backup/recovery.
- Understanding of high availability, clustering, failover, and PITR concepts.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and automation tooling such as Git, Ansible, Terraform, and monitoring systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across database and infrastructure layers.
- A strong engineering mindset with an interest in automation, reliability, and understanding how database systems work internally.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with MongoDB, ClickHouse, PMM, Bash/Python, observability tooling, or production infrastructure/DevOps environments.
You don't need to have worked with every technology in our stack. We value strong fundamentals, ownership, curiosity, and the ability to learn and solve complex problems.
Benefits:
- Health insurance
- Opportunities for professional growth
- Flexible working hours
We build, not watch — This is where you belong!
