Job Description
Operational/Professional/Business
Manage production machinery projects.
Develop the project plan and detailed schedule.
Follow all BVT policies and procedures to support achievement of project objectives (e.g., PO, KPI, down payment).
Project status reporting.
Track the project and execution of defined tasks on the project plan.
Ensure one-time full delivery of detailed project tasks; raise issues to Production Engineering and the Production Manager to determine and take corrective actions.
Ensure all BVT standards are met and adhered to.
Ensure EHS standards are met in the execution phase of the project.
Prepare engineering analysis of Civil and Utilities, including preliminary design, calculations, life cycle cost, and equipment selection.
Evaluate current factory operations and prepare designs for improvement and modification.
Prepare schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids for project execution.
Prepare technical construction specifications for parts and equipment for purchasing and tendering purposes.
Provide technical supervision over professional staff, including contractors, as assigned.
Perform mechanical engineering duties as required by projects.
Manage project issues, budgets, and schedules.
Collect records and maintain files for future reference and documentation of all project activities.
Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
Review improvement requests and comment on suitability with respect to engineering considerations and company standards.
EHS (General Key Factors)
Follow all EHS requirements as communicated in induction training and other training sessions on the job.
Ensure LOTOTO is applied when working on machines.
Use all specific Personal Protective Equipment relevant to the role and defined tasks.
Support the team in executing risk assessments and preparing the Safety Map.
Ensure proper SOPs and agreed processes for maintenance, lubrication, and troubleshooting are applied in full.
Ensure QRP (Quick Risk Prediction Tool) is applied for all projects.
Ensure risk assessment and method statements are applied for all projects.
Start hazardous activities requiring a Permit to Work only after PTW issuance.
Support contractors to apply LOTOTO and required QRP, risk assessment, and other EHS routines.
Ensure contractors use proper tools when performing projects.
Involve EHS in all purchases and projects (services).
Ensure all EHS requirements communicated to contractors (including induction, permits, and risk assessments) are fully applied.
Provide full reporting about construction waste from projects.
Leadership
Establish the appropriate link between the production project and manufacturing objectives.
Management
Track project progress and provide the project Gantt chart.
Project status reporting.
Prepare required documents for audits, finance department queries, etc.
Relationship
Develop business partnering with internal and external stakeholders related to the assigned project.
Work with and direct Engineering Consultants, Procurement, and LEX in preparation of award of bids and contracts.
Prepare management reports of KPIs.
Align with the Finance department to ensure financial KPIs are met.
Align with Procurement to ensure procurement policies and procedures are in place.
Innovation
Find solutions to execute different phases in parallel to reduce the project timeline and overall cost.
Experience Required
At least 5 years of work experience.
Good command of English.
Computer literacy with a specialty in Microsoft Project.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good project administration and management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
