Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Platform Engineer to design and build reusable software capabilities that improve engineering productivity across the organization. In this role, you will work at the intersection of backend engineering, distributed systems, platform architecture, and developer experience to help engineering teams build and deliver software faster and more reliably.

Job Description

• Design and develop reusable backend services, internal APIs, SDKs, libraries, and developer tools
• Turn recurring engineering challenges into scalable, reusable platform solutions
• Design and build production-grade microservices and event-driven systems
• Develop stable REST, gRPC, and asynchronous interfaces with clear contracts and documentation
• Apply distributed systems patterns to ensure scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance
• Improve developer experience through self-service capabilities, reusable tools, and well-documented APIs
• Build observability, reliability, security, and production readiness into platform services
• Collaborate closely with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure platform services integrate effectively with infrastructure
• Contribute to improving engineering standards, platform adoption, and software quality across teams

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Backend Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles
• Strong programming experience in at least one backend technology such as .NET, Go, Java, Python, or TypeScript
• Strong understanding of System Design, Distributed Systems, Software Architecture, APIs, and Microservices
• Experience building and operating production-grade backend or shared services
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns such as Saga, Transactional Outbox, Idempotency, Retries, and Dead Letter Queues
• Experience designing REST and/or gRPC APIs
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code concepts
• Understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, SSO, and RBAC
• Familiarity with observability, production readiness, SLIs, SLOs, and reliability engineering principles
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience building internal platforms, shared services, SDKs, or developer-facing tools is a plus
