About this Role

Azki’s mission is to make insurance simpler, more accessible, and more trustworthy by building a unified experience across the entire insurance journey. As we invest in that experience, we’re growing our Product Design team to help shape it end to end.

In this role, you’ll own product design from ambiguous problems through to shipped, measurable outcomes. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to turn complex challenges into simple, meaningful experiences.

We’re looking for designers who can think beyond individual features and contribute to building a more consistent, cohesive product experience at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own product design for a defined scope end to end, from problem framing and exploration to prototyping, execution, and post-launch iteration.
• Recognize and apply established UX/UI patterns where they serve the user, while deliberately breaking from them when a non-obvious solution better serves the problem.
• Handle design work at scale, across multiple flows, edge cases, and a growing user base, without allowing the system to break down as complexity increases.
• Use storytelling to communicate design direction and rationale to both design and product peers, as well as non-design stakeholders.
• Apply a deep understanding of user behavior and emotional context to design decisions, going beyond usability alone.
• Bring strong aesthetic judgment to every deliverable; visual quality is an integral part of UX quality.
• Rapidly prototype to test and communicate design direction, rather than relying on static mockups and lengthy documentation.
• Work fluently within the design system and contribute back to it when gaps appear, rather than working around them.
• Connect design decisions to business and product outcomes, and articulate the “why” in those terms, not just in UX terms.
• Partner closely with PMs and Engineers, especially in ambiguous or fast-changing situations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience, with a track record of independently owning significant product areas.
• Demonstrated ability to work fluently within an existing design system while continuing to evolve and improve it.
• A portfolio demonstrating both structured, pattern-based execution and original, non-obvious problem-solving.
• Strong rapid-prototyping skills, with an ability to demonstrate iteration and exploration—not just polished final mockups.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, complex, and large-scale environments without needing every requirement to be fully defined upfront.
