About Solarys

Solarys is an enterprise-grade, multi-tenant monitoring and management platform—scaling from pilot-scale sites to utility-scale portfolios for solar plants. Our platform ingests live telemetry from thousands of field devices and turns it into real-time dashboards, forecasts, and intelligent alerts for operators, managers, and investors.

If you want to work on real infrastructure data—not toy datasets—this is that role.

What You'll Work On

• Designing and optimizing data pipelines, including continuous aggregates and rollup strategies for high-frequency telemetry
• Building ingestion and processing logic for field data at scale, across diverse device types
• Developing forecasting models for solar production
• Working closely with backend, frontend, and DevOps teams to ship production-grade features (not prototypes)

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with time-series databases
• Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning models; comfortable building, training, and deploying models (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection, classification) on real sensor/time-series data (not just calling pre-built APIs)
• Solid Python skills, including standard ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or similar); experience with API and async services is a strong plus
• Experience applying forecasting techniques to sensor or energy data
• Comfort working with industrial protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP) or willingness to learn fast
• Understanding of query optimization for high-cardinality, high-frequency data
• Bonus: exposure to solar/PV, BESS, SCADA, or other energy-domain systems
• Bonus: experience with LLM-integrated tooling (agents, RAG, structured outputs)

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field from a top-tier university
• Master's degree preferred (especially with a focus on ML/DL, signal processing, or time-series analysis)

No Prior Experience? No Problem

Don't have professional experience yet? That's not a dealbreaker. Strong candidates with the right academic background and technical foundation are welcome to apply—including as a volunteer/intern arrangement to start, with a path to a paid role as you ramp up.
