Responsibilities
- Lead and manage FTTx operations and maintenance across Regions 5, 6, 9 & 10.
- Supervise FTTx Engineers and coordinate regional field maintenance activities.
- Manage major faults, incidents, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance and network technical assurance.
- Coordinate with NOC, Back Office, Active, Fiber, IP/Transmission, and other network teams.
- Manage and monitor contractors, subcontractors, and field activities.
- Support FTTH/FTTx network implementation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance.
- Ensure proper management of fiber optic and ODN infrastructure.
- Review network risks, recurring faults, technical issues, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network records, and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, technical standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and performance support to the regional team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in FTTH/FTTx, Fiber Optic, ODN, and access networks.
- Strong knowledge of GPON/PON, OLT, ONT/ONU, splitters, FAT, FDT, ODC, and FTTH infrastructure.
- Strong fiber troubleshooting skills, including OTDR and optical power measurement.
- Experience in network operation & maintenance, fault/incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience in managing field teams and technical contractors.
- Previous team leadership/supervisory experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet, VLAN, DHCP, PPPoE, IP, IPRAN, and Transmission.
- Familiarity with OSS/NMS, ticketing systems, GIS, network inventory, and FTTH planning tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, planning, and stakeholder-management skills.
- FOA/CFOT or equivalent certification is preferred.
- English proficiency for technical documentation and communication.
- Willingness to travel to regional and field locations when required.
