Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines so developers can ship backend and frontend services faster and more reliably.
- Automate manual tasks and streamline workflows across the software development lifecycle, from build and test through Helm updates and GitOps deployments using Argo CD.
- Manage and improve our Kubernetes infrastructure and application configurations, including Deployments, Ingress/Routes, Secrets, and ConfigMaps.
- Implement and champion security best practices (DevSecOps) in our pipelines, including SAST, secret scanning, SCA/SBOM, and container scanning.
- Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning so PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and the cluster can handle growth.
- Help ensure smooth, zero-downtime releases and participate in an on-call rotation.
Areas for Impact & Growth
- Take ownership of designing and architecting GitOps and platform solutions.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor for other team members.
- Drive the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools.
- Manage significant parts of our infrastructure and initiate projects to improve reliability and efficiency, such as CI templates, feature environments, and observability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting, with hands-on experience in automation using Bash and/or Python.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab CI.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps and Argo CD.
- Familiarity with artifact repositories and container registries such as Nexus, Harbor, or similar tools.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana; experience with OpenTelemetry or Jaeger is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
