How will you make an impact?
As Barook moves toward a more autonomous product operating model — where product teams take broader end-to-end ownership from problem discovery through design and delivery — product design capabilities need to become systematic and scalable across the organization. As the Product Design Excellence Lead, you'll build the standards, systems, tools, and practices that enable teams to design high-quality experiences independently and efficiently. You'll ensure consistency across Barook's products, reduce dependency on dedicated design roles, and advance product design maturity through evidence-based and AI-enabled practices.
What you'll do at Barook:
Define and evolve Design Principles, Standards, Design Systems, and reusable patterns across Barook's products.
Build frameworks, playbooks, templates, and workflows that enable product teams to independently execute high-quality product design.
Establish lightweight Design Review and Quality Assurance mechanisms to maintain experience quality and consistency without creating delivery bottlenecks.
Develop and operationalize AI-enabled design workflows across research, ideation, prototyping, validation, and delivery.
Identify recurring cross-product experience problems and turn them into scalable solutions, patterns, and organizational standards.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
Strong expertise in Product/UX Design, Interaction Design, User Research, Prototyping, and Usability Testing.
Strong experience with Design Systems, Design Governance, and Design Operations across multiple products or teams.
Ability to translate design expertise into frameworks, patterns, tools, and guardrails that can be effectively used by non-design specialists.
Strong systems thinking, with the ability to integrate research, product analytics, and experimentation into evidence-based design decisions.
Hands-on expertise with AI-enabled design tools and workflows, with the ability to use AI to improve teams' autonomy, speed, and quality.
