Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure Oracle Database software.
• Ensure proper setup and optimization of database instances.
• Monitor and analyze database performance; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Implement tuning strategies to enhance system performance.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies; perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
• Implement and maintain database security measures; ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and provide timely solutions.
• Plan and execute database upgrades; apply patches and updates as needed.
• Create and maintain documentation of database configurations and processes; develop and update SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers and system administrators) and support junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience in Oracle Database administration.
• Expertise in database architecture, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
• Oracle certifications (e.g., OCA, OCP) are a plus.
• Experience with PL/SQL development, Oracle Data Guard, Linux, and bash scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
