Tech Lead

Wallex is a FinTech company providing a secure cryptocurrency exchange platform and digital asset payment solutions.

With a vision to become a leading global FinTech enterprise, Wallex is recognized as one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange platforms in Iran, supporting the online trading of over 130 cryptocurrencies.

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to help shape the technical direction of our products, drive engineering excellence, and support the growth of our engineering teams.

In this role, you will lead technical decisions, design scalable systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and architecture of backend services and distributed systems.
• Drive engineering best practices across software development, code quality, testing, observability, and deployment.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high engineering standards across the team.
• Mentor and support software engineers in their technical growth and career development.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineering teams to define and deliver scalable solutions.
• Identify and address technical risks, bottlenecks, and architectural challenges.
• Participate in system design discussions and make informed decisions regarding scalability, security, and performance.
• Improve development workflows, deployment pipelines, and operational excellence.
• Contribute hands-on to critical parts of the codebase when needed.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend development practices.
• Experience designing and building scalable, high-availability distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, containerization, and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
