QA Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer to help build reliable and trustworthy financial products.

In this role, you will work across credit onboarding, credit allocation, installment purchases, in-store purchases, payment verification, repayment, refunds, coupon management, account activation, merchant operations, settlement, and cancellation workflows.

You will be involved in the complete testing lifecycle, from requirement analysis and risk assessment to test design, automation, execution, defect investigation, and release verification.

This role combines risk-based testing, API and integration testing, end-to-end automation, database validation, workflow testing, and continuous testing through GitLab CI.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Test REST APIs, authentication flows, authorization rules, request validation, payment operations, and service integrations.
Build and maintain automated test suites using Robot Framework and Python.
Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI pipelines and support smoke and regression quality gates.
Validate business data and financial effects in MySQL databases.
Use mock services, provider simulators, and deterministic test data to make external integrations stable and repeatable.
Investigate failed tests by analyzing logs, API responses, database evidence, process state, and service behavior.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, infrastructure engineers, and operations teams.
Required Skills

Practical experience in software testing and test scenario design.
Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and service integrations.
Ability to write SQL queries and investigate data in relational databases.
Experience with test automation frameworks.
Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
Experience with Robot Framework is highly relevant to this role.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to analyze complex workflows and identify business and technical risks.
Ability to document test results and communicate defects clearly.
Strong problem-solving, investigation, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience testing financial transactions and business-critical workflows.
Understanding of retries, timeouts, callbacks, eventual consistency, and idempotency.
Experience with BrowserLibrary, Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
Experience with performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
Familiarity with application logs, monitoring, tracing, and operational evidence.
