IT Procurement Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to manage and support the end-to-end procurement of IT hardware, software, cloud services, telecommunications, and technology-related services.
The role will work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and other business stakeholders to ensure technology purchases are delivered on time, meet business requirements, provide strong commercial value, and comply with procurement policies and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for IT products and services.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with technology vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, software licenses, maintenance agreements, and SLAs.
• Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Track software licenses, hardware warranties, subscriptions, and maintenance renewals.
• Analyze procurement spending and identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, contracts, vendor records, and procurement documentation.
• Support IT procurement budgeting and forecasting.
• Resolve procurement issues such as delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and relevant audit standards.
• Keep up to date with technology market trends, supplier offerings, and pricing developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or technology purchasing.
• Experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing technology vendors and service providers.
• Good understanding of IT hardware, software, networking, cloud services, and managed services.
• Familiarity with software licensing and technology procurement.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
