HSE Specialist

Job Overview:

The HSE Specialist, based at Badamak Operations Center (Large Item warehouse), is responsible for implementing and improving HSE requirements in daily warehouse and logistics operations. The role has a strong field focus on safe loading/unloading, loading docks, lifting and material-handling equipment, vehicle/pedestrian movements, storage and dispatch of bulky/heavy items, and incident prevention. The position also coordinates the occupational health and periodic medical examination process, prepares HSE reports/action trackers, and supports inspections and audits at other company centers through intra-city and inter-provincial missions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and planned HSE inspections at Badamak Large Item warehouse; identify unsafe conditions/acts, assess risk, register findings, follow corrective actions to closure, and escalate critical risks promptly.
• Control loading and unloading safety end-to-end, including vehicle positioning at docks, parking-brake/wheel-chock controls, safe opening of vehicle doors, dock-edge protection, load securing, stability of bulky/heavy items, lifting activities, forklifts/pallet trucks, and safe pedestrian segregation.
• Verify safe storage, stacking, and retrieval of Large Item products, including floor and rack stacking, load stability, aisle clearance, safe access/egress, housekeeping, manual handling, and use of appropriate material-handling equipment.
• Coordinate the occupational health process and periodic medical examinations: employee lists and scheduling, provider/HR coordination, attendance tracking, collection of results, follow-up of referrals, fitness-for-work restrictions and required actions, record control, and timely closure of outstanding cases while maintaining confidentiality.
• Conduct and review risk assessments/JSA, permit-to-work activities, contractor HSE controls, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, traffic management, PPE compliance, and incident/near-miss investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Deliver HSE induction, toolbox talks, and targeted safety training for warehouse employees, drivers, and contractors; provide field coaching on loading/unloading, forklift interaction, lifting, safe routes, and emergency requirements.
• Prepare HSE KPIs, dashboards, inspection reports, and action trackers; support internal/external audits and legal/company compliance, and conduct scheduled intra-city and inter-provincial missions for HSE inspections and follow-up at other company centers.

Requirements:

• Strong practical knowledge of warehouse and logistics safety, especially Large Item operations, loading/unloading, loading docks, load securing, lifting, forklifts/pallet trucks, material-handling equipment, stacking stability, and vehicle/pedestrian traffic management.
• Practical mastery of occupational health processes and periodic occupational medical examinations, including scheduling, referrals, fitness-for-work follow-up, restrictions/action tracking, documentation, and coordination with employees, HR, and occupational medicine providers.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, JSA, inspections, incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive action plans, permit-to-work reviews, and contractor HSE monitoring.
• Good knowledge of fire prevention, emergency response, first-aid basics, evacuation, PPE requirements, ergonomics/manual handling, and common mechanical/electrical hazards in warehouse operations.
• Effective field communication and influencing skills with Operations, Facilities, Transportation, drivers, vendors, and contractors; confidence to stop or escalate work where imminent danger exists.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001/ISO 14001 principles, applicable HSE requirements, audit practices, and HSE performance indicators; good MS Office skills for Excel trackers, dashboards, statistics, and PowerPoint reporting.
• High field presence, attention to detail, disciplined follow-up, report-writing ability, teamwork, resilience, and readiness for operational shifts and frequent business travel inside Tehran and to other provinces.
